Within a single die, this chipset comes integrated with a best in class LTE-M and NB-IoT modem alongside a low-power Cortex M4 MCU, dedicated for application execution. Network credentials are stored on the built-in HW integrated SIM (iSIM), eliminating the need for an external SIM along with Altair GNSS to pinpoint the device location. A battery and antenna are all you need in order to launch your device.
The challenge
PassTime selected G+D and Altair Semiconductor Israel for the next generation Encore product design. The companies worked closely together to design the new PassTime Encore locator, based on Altair ALT1250 chipset and G+D’s proven SIM operating system.
